Do you know what makes you attractive? Your best features are the Mouth Width to Nose Width Ratio, Eye Canthal Tilt, and Nose Width. Also, you may want to know your features that need special attention. Your features that require improvements are Chin Length to Philtrum Length Ratio, Upper-Lip Height, and Eye-To-EyeBrow Margin.

The attractiveness of multiple facial features contributes to overall facial attractiveness. The American University of Beirut Medical Center study says beauty and facial attractiveness are easily identified but difficult to quantify.Despite its subjective nature, we can attempt to define, measure, and explain the captivating phenomenon of beauty by describing it numerically and geometrically.
Hence, a single feature does not determine attractiveness because it depends on how well that feature harmonizes with the face. The unit of measurement we used here is Photographic Canthal Index(PCI).

face-score-eye-canthal-tilt-angle

Your Eye Canthal Tilt Angle is 25 degrees and the ideal value is 14 degrees. The larger the angle, the better it is. This feature dramatically impacts your perceived attractiveness, and you have a high score on this feature and that also means you won a genetic lottery.

What is an Eye canthal Tilt? Why is a positive tilt more attractive than a negative tilt?

The eye canthal tilt is the angle between the internal corner of the eyes (medial canthus) and the external corner of the eyes (lateral canthus). This tilt is a crucial section of periorbital aesthetics. The eye canthal tilt can be negative, neutral, or positive. The canthus tilt is considered positive if the medial canthus angle ranges between 5 and 8 degrees below the lateral canthus. A negative canthal tilt is achieved when the medial canthus tilt varies between -5 to -8 degrees beneath the lateral canthus. A neutral tilt is when the medial canthus and lateral canthus are in line. A positive canthal tilt gives one a more attractive, sharper, and younger look.

According to a study held at the University of Toronto by Bashour & Geist (2007), canthal tilt is a power cue for female facial attractiveness. The possible explanation to this phenomenon as per Bashour & Gest is “The fact that palpebral fissure inclination is steeper in children than adults makes it a neonatal feature, and the fact that it is again steeper in females than males after puberty also makes it a sexually dimorphic feature.”

In their publication “The beautiful eye”, medical doctors Volpe & Ramirez from Johns Hopkins Hospital mentions “In women, the intercanthal axis averages +4.1 mm or +4 degrees. This upward tilt of the intercanthal axis is one of the most distinctive qualities of the beautiful eye. When one looks at any truly beautiful face, this upward tilt is found to be present.”

In the book “Cosmetic Patient Evaluation” by Tian Ran Zhu from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, USA mentions that “The concept of the canthal tilt is critical as it serves as an important indicator of aging. A positive canthal tilt with lower eyelid lightly tilting upward along lateral canthus exudes youth, health, and exuberance. On the contrary, a depressed tilt projects old age, melancholy, and weariness.”

Their findings are widely corroborated by other studies, a positive canthal tilt can make women look “attractive and younger” (Askham et ali, 2019), and “feminized” (Facque et al, 2019). Further to that, the canthal tilt can add a gradually “masculinized appearance” if the tilt depresses with age as the soft tissue descends (Somenek, 2018).

When measuring the canthal tilt, “A positive value designates an upward tilt of the lateral canthus and a negative value a downward tilt. This upward tilt of the intercanthal axis is one of the most distinctive qualities of the beautiful eye” (Volpe & Ramirez, 2005). Bashour & Geist (2007) test this directly in their comprehensive study, they find that a positive canthal tilt adds to the attractiveness of the female face and explain why they think this occurs.  The results revealed that female faces with positive canthal tilt are preferred 93 percent of the time.

face-score-nose-width

Your Nose Width is 130 PCI units and the ideal value is 181 PCI units. The smaller the value, the better it is. You have a fair score for this feature.

Why is a smaller nose width better than a wider one?

The study by Ferruccio Tersello at George Eastman Dental Hospital, “the nose width smaller than 1/4 of facial width” describes the beauty of the face. The study was held on 50 italian models selected for an important beauty contest. According to the report by Nikola Vučinić, Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad, men with medium width noses appear to be more attractive. It depicts that a man may have appealing face features however wide or big noses might lessen the beauty in general.

Another study by Doug Jones, Department of Anthropology, University of Michigan reports that a youthful face is one that combines a high ratio of lower-facial features with a small nose and ears and full lips(Doug Jones, 2011). Additionally, a face with unusually large eyes, a small nose, and full lips as compared to face height will have a low predicted age(Doug Jones, 2011). These studies shed light on how better is “a small nose” than the wider one for overall attractiveness.

The study by Van Zijl, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Erasmus Medical Center, finds that the ideal nose width measures one-fifth of the width of an individual’s face as the alar base. Wider alar base and larger tip lobule can result in the appearance of an unusually and disproportionately larger nose when the anterior view is concerned.

Your Lip Upper Height is 11 PCI units and the ideal value is 36 PCI units. The larger the value, the better it is. You have a low score on this feature, but as we already know, no single feature determines the beauty of a face.

Why a larger upper height is more attractive than a smaller one?

A study by Kar at el (2018), concludes that “Fuller lips relative to the width of the face and greater vermilion height are perceived as attractive in women”. The vertical width of the upper lip is regarded as the most prominent feature in smile aesthetics. A study by McNamara from the School of Dentistry, University of Michigan found the thickness of an upper lip to be the most attractive aspect of a pleasant smile.

Full lips have long been desired by women because they signify youth and femininity.Evolutionary psychology also suggests that women with a full pout are often associated with a strong mating potential. One of the most visible signs of ageing is a pair of thin and flat lips. This is because as collagen production slows down, your once-luscious lips become deflated. This Sexually dimorphic feature is an indication of reproductive health(Fink, &Neave, 2005).

Why a high set eyebrow is more attractive than a low set?

In his famous paper, Cunningham mentioned that the expressive features of highly set eyebrows were associated with female features. To corroborate his finds, two studies mentioned below are finds the high set eyebrows are sexually diamorphic feature.

Packiriswamy et al. in their paper “Anthropometric and Anthroposcopic Analysis of Periorbital Features”, quantified the aesthetic dimensions and position of periorbital features. The study involved 300 male and 300 female subjects with ages ranging from 17 to 25 years.Standardised facial photographs of the subjects were taken in frontal view and the aesthetic dimensions and position of periorbital features including eyebrow height(EH) were measured using Image analyzer. The study demonstrated that interbrow height was significantly greater in females than males(p < 0.005).

In a study carried out by Price et al. “Eyebrow and eyelid dimensions: An anthropometric analysis”, ideal eyebrow and eyelid dimensions were studied among 68 male and female subjects, divided into three age cohorts(20 to 39 years, 40 to 59 years, and 60 to 79 years) and by gender. The subjects were then photographed in the frontal view with brow fixation, first with eyes open in primary gaze, and then with eyes gently closed. The standardised digital images were then analysed using a measuring software. It was found that eyebrow height was significantly larger in women than men(p < 0.001).

The scientists Zhao et al in their study “Data - Driven Research on the Matching Degree of Eyes, Eyebrows and Face Shapes”, go on to explain that although eye to eyebrow distance does serve as a proxy for female attractiveness, it is heavily influenced by overall face shape.Shorter, rounder faces are scored as most attractive when they have high set(or more distal) eyebrows with a higher degree of curvature.Whereas square or longer faces are considered most attractive with exactly the opposite: lower set, flatter eyebrows(Zhao et al, 2019; Baker, 2007). The eye to eyebrow distance and shape can accentuate other attractive facial features, slim the overall facial appearance and alter the perception of eye size but the bi - directionality of this relationship means that the ideal eyebrow placement varies with individual facial aesthetics.

Celebrities with similar Facial Fat Deposit

Analysis of your face shows you have a fat deposit percentage of 42% and finds you have a healthy fat deposit. However, a reduction of it can improve its attractiveness.

Believe it or not, scientific studies find facial fat deposits are one of the strongest determinants of attractiveness in a female face. Reduced levels of fatty deposits in the face can signal “health, youth and status” (Thornhill & Grammar, 1999).

Make-up

Tips
You’re in a good position to create the illusion of a rounded or even an oval-shaped face since you have an almost symmetrical pear face; as such, focus on your eyes in particular to really make them pop. After all, you have beautiful eyes - they’re what really catch other people’s attention for those with a pear shaped face, so why not flaunt it?
Contouring
Contouring for pear face shapes should focus around the cheekbones and jawline particularly. Use a warm toned bronzer that is a few shades darker than your current foundation, applying carefully from the middle of your ears towards your lips and chin. Then, finish the look by adding a very small amount of highlight to the sharpest point of the chin, the forehead, the nose, and below the eyes to draw attention towards the centre of your face primarily. The result will give the illusion of a round or oval shaped face.
Eyes
Your eyes will be the main draw of your face, and as such, we recommend going big and bold to really make them stand out; this can also give the impression of your eyes and temples being larger, helping them balance with your wider jawline. Plenty of mascara will work wonders initially, and if you’re comfortable doing so, false lashes will also go a long way in this regard. Adding some highlighter to the browline will also help with this goal.
Lips
Your lips are wonderfully kissable, and a great feature of the pear face shape is that you don’t need to do much with your lips, since your face already carries such natural beauty! Therefore, a neutral tone will perfectly match your face shape without drawing too much attention to your jawline that’s wider than other points of your face.

Hair Style

The best hairstyle that matches your look are ones that make your face look slimmer but still celebrate the uniqueness of your shape. That is why we need a hairstyle that will narrow down your face, give it a more rounder look and soften your jawline. Hence wearing a style with volume and layered is the key to achieve this.
We can do this with various lengths such as short, medium or long hair. You could have bangs but it is best kept at a short length so as not to draw the eyes to your lower jaw. Keep the bangs heavy and falling down to your eyebrows or even to your eyes, so it gives your face a shorter look and adds more weight to the top of your face. Having bangs will also narrow down the width of the area around your forehead.
You could wear a short pixie cut with layers to soften the features of your face. You can even sweep the bangs to the side which will look super cute. For medium or long length styles if you decide to pull it back into a ponytail, make sure you have bangs as it will soften your jawline. You can have a side parting if you like but make sure it is deep as this will balance out the width of your chin.
If you want you can pull your hair back, but keep some wisps of hair falling down the sides of your face as this really does soften your chin and gives your face an overall softer look. Straight or curly with long hair is fine but get a centre parting with the hair falling down the sides of your face. This will frame your gorgeous face and draw attention to your beautiful eyes.

Glasses

Finally, lets finish off your look with the perfect sunglasses for your face shape. Because of your strong jawline and high cheekbones we want glasses that will balance out your features so go for frames that are round but small in size. You can also go for rectangular frames as these will also have the same effect as round frames but make sure they are a little more wider than your forehead.
Cat-eye frames will also look fabulous on your type of face shape as they will balance out the proportions of your face, just make sure to get ones with a bit of design in the details of the frames at the top of the glasses as this will draw the attention of the person looking at you upwards towards your eyes and temple area and away from the bottom half of your face. Now we have an even better looking super cute eye stunner with your make over. You’re all set to go!If you wish to ask me something about face shape, add it as a comment here.
