Analysis for Face Attractiveness: What Are the Scoring Ranges and Factors?

To determine the Face Attractiveness Score, PinkMirror analyzes the geometric proportions of facial features such as the eyes, nose, lips, etc., and the distance between those. When the face analysis is finished, you are able to see which features of your face determine your beauty score.

Beauty is in the balance of these face analysis features, which artists from the NeoClassical era called the Aesthetic principles. Rule Of Fifths

A proportionate face may be divided vertically into fifths, with each of those fifths being approximately the width of one eye. Aesthetic balance is considered ideal when the facial features fall within these dimensions. The width of the base of the nose is approximately equal to the distance between the eyes.

Rule of Thirds

Leonardo da Vinci, that all-around genius of science and art, developed a formula for determining a well-balanced face. He found that a well-balanced face can be evenly divided into thirds, vertically. The top third is from your hairline to the top of your brows. The middle third is from the top of the brows to the bottom of your nose. The bottom third is from the bottom of your nose to your chin.

Rule of 77

The above two rules deal with frontal features, and it is only one aspect of facial beauty. The third rule deals with the lateral depth or, in other words, side view.

The Frontal Face Analysis

The most attractive facial features irrespective of gender are the following.

  • Eye Cantal Tilt – A positive title is more attractive.
  • Bitemporal To Bizygoma Ratio – A smaller Bizygomatic width is preferred.
  • A lower facial fat deposit

When it comes to the facial attractiveness of each gender, sexual dimorphism comes to play. For example, the attractive frontal facial features specific to females are the following.

  • Bigonial-to-Bizygomatic Width Ratio – A smaller Bigonial width is preferred
  • Chin-to-Philtrum Length Ratio – A smaller ratio of Chin length is preferred.

On the contrary, the attractive features of males are as follows.

  • Mouth-to-Nose Width Ratio – A larger ratio of Mouth length is preferred.
  • Eye-to-Eyebrow Margin- A shorter margin between the Eye and Eyebrow is preferred.

The Beauty Scale

The Rule-of-Fifths, Rule-of-Thirds, and Rule-of-77 are simple representations of a complex interplay of aesthetic measures between different parts of a beautiful face.

In this beauty scale, the following aspects are considered.

  • Face structure (Frontal and Lateral Dimensions)
  • Symmetry (between the left and right side of the face)
  • Feature structure (Shape of individual features such as eyebrow, nose, etc.)
  • Skin quality (Skin Tone and Skin Clarity.)

Skin Tone: Skin quality must be mostly even across the face.

Skin Clarity: Lesser spots and wrinkles. The radiance of the skin showoff the health of the person.

No bad at all. Prolly like an 8 for the face. On the skinny side since I’m into thicker girls but contrary to popular belief a big chunk of men like more petite girls

He has near-perfect bone structure, but his hairstyle and patchy beard aren’t doing him any favors. I would suggest growing out the hair by a few inches and having a barber even out the hairline. His brows are full, which is good, but they are overgrown and asymmetrical, having them threaded and plucked professionally would make a huge difference. He should either grow out the facial hair or just shave it off entirely, it is honestly taking away from his Chad jaw and the whiskers hide his very attractive cheekbones. He’d be extremely conventionally attractive with those adjustments since his bone structure is great.

Hi, please rate me. I tried to take a straight-on photo with a neutral expression. I am wearing eyeliner, mascara, and some brow powder, but that’s it. Really curious about what people will say since I really do not like my face; I think I an very asymmetrical and have odd features with a too-round jaw. Also, please don’t tell me I look tired, I am aware of my bags and they are not from a lack of sleep. I am anemic so the dark circles have been there all my life and are impossible to get rid of. As for your picture I’m not good at rating by number but you are definitely above average and have potential to be very attractive. I think a very short beard would suit you and accentuate your nice ovular jaw. You have a good brow bone and eye shape, but you should have your brows professionally threaded or plucked, I promise it will improve the overall symmetry of your face by a LOT. Growing out your hair a little so it comes down more over your ears and forehead would also suit you nicely. And make sure you’re mewing (proper tongue posture) to get the most out of your naturally nice jawline! Overall, you have a handsome face and could be even better looking with those minor tweaks. 🙂

If you’re open to suggestions, I would trim the sides of your ‘stache’ because you have a nice mouth but the drooping of the mustache drags your lips down visually, trim the sides to the level of outer corners of your vermillion border or just above them to frame your lips/mouth. You also have great, soulful eyes – try a lighter colored frame or a thinner one to open up and lighten the area to show them off.

Overall pretty good, I would give it a 7/10 to 7.5/10 nothing to beat yourself up about you look great. No real need for makeup but your nose (at least from this angle) looks a bit wide and your upper lip is a little small. But that’s not really too big of a thin depending with some people. Am I good looking? I’ve had lots of people tell me that I am androgynous in appearance . . . I don’t know what to make of that. I personally think that I’m too feminine in appearance, but other than physical attributes I’m a perfectly healthy, masculine 21 year old.

By the way, my lips are covered in Vaseline. They’re almost always chapped, so I have to adhere to a strict moisturizing regime.

I think you can certainly grow into your looks. Since your a teen so give it time. As you get older some may see u as a 9 but Tbh being a 9-10/10 to everyone is hard to do. Idk about 10 but you could easily be an 8 cause you also have a nice skin tone.

You look good tbh try to getride of acne and go to gym to get nice body beard also will look good on you and get a nice hair cut but now you look 7.5-8\10, after this tips in my opinion you will be 9-9.5.
