You Have Rectangle Face Shape?

If you have rectangle face shape, you know, you look like Angelina Jolie for your face shape. A strong rectangular shape. You know, the best hairstyle that matches your look are styles that will balance out the proportions of your face. A rectangle face shape has a uniform straight line from forehead to jaw area making it look longer, so that is why we want to balance out these proportions. Additionally, as people with your face shape are blessed with prominent cheekbones, a wider hairline and a square jaw we want a style that will minimize certain features but at the same time enhance the beauty of your face.

To do this you should go for hairstyles that have a fringe falling over your forehead to shade the width of your hairline, this will make it not stand out as much and it also adds softer curves to your face.  Also go for hair that falls down the sides of your face all the way past your jaw as this will not only soften your jawline but also reduce the prominence of your temples and your cheekbones. The hair can be wavy, heavily layered or curly; you choose whatever floats your boat, but I strongly recommend that for any style you go for it should be from shoulder length and longer because these are the best lengths that will make your face look a little shorter and showcase your true beauty. If you fancy wearing all your hair back in a ponytail then this is workable as well, as long as you leave some wisps of hair on the sides to fall slightly framing your face as this will soften your cheekbones. And if you want to have a parting in your hair then go for and off centre or even a side parting as these will always partly fall on one side of your face softening the features I’ve mentioned already.

When it comes to your make-up, we want make-up that will do the same thing as your hairstyle; to soften your strong features. And the secret to how we do this is in how we contour your face. We want to bring the eyes of the person looking at you towards the centre of your face so you we are going to use a bronzer to contour your temples, around your hairline and the hollow parts of your cheekbones from the hairline, near your ears, to the corners of your mouth. This not only softens your facial features but also gives it a more rounder look and shortens the length of your face. We need to highlight the ball of your chin to bring it forward so as to minimize the straight rectangle lines. We shall also do the same with your nose by highlighting the centre of your nose; from the top between your eyes down to the tip of your nose and contour, with a bronzer, the area running vertically along the sides of your nose from in-between your eye area down to the sides of the tip of your nose.

When you are doing your eyebrows follow the natural lines with a gentle arch. And for your sexy eyes? Adding some extra eyelashes will give your eyes the dramatic va va voom look; honey, you will be able to stop a taxi with just the wink of an eye. Oh, and for your lipstick go for a colour that compliments your make-up, or you could go for a bright colour to go with your mood.

Now for the shades that will round off this perfect package called ‘You’. We want glasses that will give your face shape more of a rounder appearance, and the frames that will do this best are large frames; as these will actually make your face look shorter. You can rock shades with oval or even square frames, as long as the edges have curves; as that will really soften the straight edges of your facial bone structure.

Now your new look is complete, the rest is up to you on how you own it, and work it.
