Find My Face Shape

How can I find my face shape? We will help you do so by explaining the key features of each face shape. You can do this without a tape measure, all you need is a mirror.

Round

If you are not sure if your face shape is round or oval then, the first easy feature to look for is if your face is in the shape of a circle. The width of your face will be mostly the same length of your face. Your jawline will also have a soft round shape rather than pointy or with an angle with edges. This type of face is easy to distinguish from other varieties; perfectly uniform with a petite look as typically seen in young children.

Square

A stand out feature of square face shapes are the jaws as this is the widest part of the face, which sets it apart from other face shapes. The whole face tends to be wide but the jaw area will be the widest in comparison. The jaws are angular with sharp edges, and this also goes for the chin; no pointy cuteness here, but definitely a face with character.

Heart

A few stand out features of a heart face shape is a wide forehead and cheekbones which becomes narrow when you follow the lines of your face downwards your jawline. Then it finishes off with a cute pointy chin. Think of it this way; a heart shaped face is basically an upside down triangle.

Oval

Your forehead area has a gentle roundness to it just like a round face shape, but there is a contrast in the jaw area as yours will have a slight angle to it. This makes your forehead and jaw area to have the same width.

Diamond

People with this shape have a narrow forehead and chin as compared to the cheekbones, which are the most prominent part of the face. Your chin is pointed and you will have high cheekbones; which many women tend to envy hence is one of the many reasons the diamond shape is viewed by many to be a much desired face shape to have.

Rectangle

A rectangle face shape is quite symmetrical in that the width of the forehead, jawline and cheekbones are almost the same. The jaw area has more of a squared off shape and the length of the face is longer than the width; like how a rectangle is.

Triangle

This face shape similar to an inverted triangle; a notable broad forehead with a small chin. This is almost similar to that of a heart shaped face, but the forehead is relatively broader and the chin does not have a pointy appearance. All in all, your forehead is the key quality here. .

Pear

People with this face structure have a wide chin, while some of them might even have a square looking jaw. Your forehead is comparatively narrower than the jaw area. People in this group generally have a fuller face with rounded cheeks.

Oblong

The jawline, cheekbones and forehead are about the same width. The length of the face is longer in comparison to the width. The cheek-line of people with this face shape is also long.
